All That Glitters

Love is in the air ... and in the ear, if you treat yourself or your Valentine to a pair of Riverside Jewelry Designs earrings.

That's what we wanted to do on Saturday, as The Maven, her sister and mother drooled over the simply elegant pieces at Bella Luna in Bangor.

Designed and crafted by hand by Amanda Coburn of Stillwater, the hammered sterling or copper dangles have just the right flash (for not a lot of cash). Classic types will love her understated hoops. But it doesn't end there. Her bold, chunky rings and sculptural pendants make quite a statement.

And this time of year, that statement is, "I love you so much that I didn't go to Jared, Kay or Day's."
