Maine To-Do List: 2.5.10

You already have Sunday's plans down: hot wings, chili, football, beer. But Friday and Saturday are still up for grabs. Fortunately, there is so much to do in Maine this weekend. We'll be celebrating The Maven's sister's birthday by raising a Prosecco toast in Bangor, but here are a few of our favorite options statewide. Cheers!

Eat ME
Die-hard chocoholics with high-end tastes adore the decadent dark-chocolate truffles from Dean's Sweets of Portland, and we can see why — we managed to polish off three boxes of them in two days. All of the options are nut-free, and the stout truffles are dairy-free, too. The cayenne is nice and spicy, but the Needhams will make you a believer.

When: now.

Drink ME
There's a reason why we call The Maven's sister "Bubs," short for "Bubbles" — and it has nothing to do with "The Wire." The girl loves Prosecco. Our favorite place to grab a split of the bubbly is the dark, cozy, lounge-y Armory Lounge at the Regency in Portland.
Where: 20 Milk St., Portland
When: After 4.

Chute ME
The U.S. national Toboggan Championships are fast, icy and hard-core—think "Cool Runnings," only cooler.
Where: Camden Snow Bowl
When: Feb. 5-7

Shop with ME
Who can resist a good deal? Not us. Even better when it's a studio sale from some of coastal Maine's best artists and artisans. This weekend, Christina Heiniger, Linden O’Ryan, Heather Murray, Jodi Clayton, Jean Goodwin and Jennifer Miller will sell their past-season work in a studio clean-out sale sale in Ellsworth.
Where: second floor of The Maine Grind, Main Street, Ellsworth
When: 3-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6
