To-Do List 7.18.09

We're all about the Maven's sister's second bachelorette party this evening — can you say Hollywood Slots? — but in the meantime, here are all of the things we would otherwise be doing this weekend:

Eat ME: Red tide sucks, but there's no need to worry at the Yarmouth Clam Festival — vendors there will serve clams harvested long before the toxin hit the shores. And really, what's better than fried Maine clams?
When: Saturday and Sunday, July 18-19.
Where: Main Street, Yarmouth
Web: www.ClamFestival.com

Drink ME: In honor of Belfast's Celtic Festival, Marshall Wharf Brewing Co. has debuted Manx Mild (a.k.a. Cornholio), a red ale inspired by the Isle of Man.
When: This weekend
Where: Three Tides, 2 Pinchy Lane, Belfast
Web: www.marshallwharf.com

Read ME: Martha Stewart is all about hiking in Maine right now. Check out the August issue of Martha Stewart Living, available now, for her fave haunts.
When: Whenever you feel up to Martha
Where: Your local bookstore or newsstand
Web: www.MarthaStewart.com

Cook with ME: You've got the look. The local look, that is. So why not show the world in the World Harbors Look Local contest. Film yourself making a dish local to your state — um, Maine — and enter to win.
When: Through July 31
Where: Your kitchen
Web: World Harbors
