Bed Head

Lately, we've become obsessed with bedding (and by we, that means The Maven — Jason couldn't really care less). After scouring the Web for hours over the weekend, searching for the just-right crib set for baby Lainsbury, it hit us: we didn't even spend this much time looking for our own bedroom set. In fact, the duvet was on clearance at Marden's, and our sheets invariably come from T.J. Maxx.

But there's nothing quite so luscious as top-of-the-line bedding. The kind that wraps you in luxury. And you don't need to travel very far to find it.

Case in point: Plover Organic. We've heard that the company is based in Maine, but at this early hour, our reporting skills are shoddy at best, so if we're wrong, let us know. Either way, you can find Plover's gorgeous, organic-cotton sheets, block printed with vegetable-based dyes, at Blanche & Mimi in Portland and Smitten in Wiscasset (no Web site, but FMI, call 207.882.9991).

We adore block-printed textiles, and these designs are absolutely gorgeous — especially the pom-pom trimmed pillows and the rich, layered pattern combinations. Even better? They make crib bedding. Which means sweet dreams for the entire family.
