To-Do List 8.14.09

Summer weather has FINALLY arrived. So get out and enjoy it — if that means sitting in your hammock and sipping a margarita, so much the better. Here are our picks for this glorious, hot, sunny weekend:

Eat ME
Last Sunday, on our way through Hallowell, we bought a tub of the most magnificent crabmeat ever. It was clearly picked with care and handled so that each claw was intact. We also grabbed some giant scallops. Mmmmm.
Where: Hallowell Seafood and Produce, 197 Water St., Hallowell
When: Daily

Drink ME
We can only drink flavored beer on a really hot day, and right about now, we're craving a pint of Atlantic Brewing Co.'s Blueberry Ale. This is what summer tastes like.
Where: We find it at Burby & Bates in Orono, but it's widely available by the bottle statewide — even better on tap.
When: After noon, kids.
Web: Atlantic Brewing Co.

Hang with ME
This is perfect hammock weather. Why not hang out in a brightly colored Amazonas hammock from Byer of Maine? They're imported from Brazil by the Orono-based company.
Where: Between two trees.
When: Immediately
Web: Byer

Rock ME
For all three of you who haven't heard about KahBang, crawl out from under your rock and get ready to roll with a lineup that includes Matt & Kim, Killing Moon, April Smith and Gay Blades, among others. It's a totally new kind of art and music festival for Bangor.
Where: The Bangor Waterfront
When: noon-close (Matt & Kim take the stage at 9) Saturday, Aug. 15
Web: KahBang
