To-Do List

The forecast? 70s and sunny. The social forecast? Just as beautiful. Here at The Maven, we're celebrating little sister's big move — into her first home — and dreaming of the free Rustic Overtones concert on Saturday night in downtown Bangor. Here are our other recommendations for this fabulous weekend:

Eat ME
Our garden is all about arugula these days, and we've replicated the fabulous arugula salad recipe from Massimo's in Bangor. You'll need a quarter pound of fresh arugula leaves, from your farmers market, of course. For the vinaigrette, whisk together 1 part freshly squeezed lemon juice, 3 parts olive oil and 1 garlic clove, smashed into a paste. Toss arugula and vinaigrette, and top with Pecorino Romano shavings.
When: Tonight.
Where: Your kitchen.

Drink ME
A first home deserves a hearty toast, with a glass of Jeio prosecco, purchased from your local wine merchant.
Why: To dull the pain of a mortgage payment.

When: Cocktail hour, which comes early on the weekends.
Where: Your back yard.

Shop ME
The LAST thing The Maven needs is another stunning handbag, and yet, last week, she found herself drooling over the Orla Kiely bags at Blanche and Mimi in Portland.
When: Always
Where: Blanche & Mimi, 184 Middle St., Portland, 207.774.3900
Web: N/A.

Listen to ME
Two words: Richie Havens.
When: 8 p.m. Saturday. Hurry! When we checked, there were seven tickets left.
Where: One Longfellow Square, Portland.

Quench ME
We SO want one of Jennifer Atkins Lisa's necklaces. Jen, a RISD grad, creates tough yet tender jewelry in her Maine studio.
When: Every day.
Where: Quench Metal Works, South China.
