Blame It On The Rain

April showers bring May flowers ... and disastrous hair.

Sure, it's great for gardens, but when the rain starts falling horizontally, your bangs end up looking like a scene from "There's Something About Mary." On days like these, an umbrella will only get you so far.

Which is why we love these floppy hats ($28) from worthygoods of Bar Harbor. Though they're called Trick Sun Hats, we'd rather save them for a rainy day. If the bold patterns and bright colors don't chase the clouds away, at least the wide brim will keep a downpour at bay.

The fun doesn't stop there, however. Designer/seamstress/goldsmith Dory Smith-Graham also creates adorable baby slings and children's gear. The pint-sized caps and tiny vests are too cute for words. Everything is hand-sewn from fabulous fabrics, and the cuts are just right.

With accessories like these, you might just do a little rain dance — flat-iron and hairspray be damned.
