Maine To-Do List, 11.13.09

Editor's note: If you'd like to learn how to enter our Angela Adams giveaway, click here.

You've been running behind since Monday, so although it feels like a Thursday, it's actually Friday. Normally, you'd breathe a sigh of relief, but you should probably spend the weekend working. Instead, why not get out and enjoy one last blast of warm (for this time of year) weather? We won't tell your boss.

Eat ME
When the weather turns cool, we start to crave comfort foods, and what could be better than a cone full of crisp, Belgian-style frites with homemade aioli? Duck Fat in Portland fries theirs in — you guessed it — duck fat and serves them with an array of homemade sauces and ketchups. If you're going to indulge, why not go whole hog (or duck, as the case may be)? Image by Russell French courtesy
Where: Duck Fat, 43 Middle St., Portland
When: 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday; 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday

Drink ME
If you have not tried the beer at Marshall Wharf Brewing Co. in Belfast (owned by David Carlson of Three Tides fame), you must. Though the brewery has only been open for a few short months, Carlson and his crew clearly know what they're doing, and the beers are among the best we've tried in Maine.
Where: Three Tides, 2 Pinchy Lane, Belfast
When: cocktail hour

Go Glam with ME
The hottest place to be in Maine this weekend might just be Bangor, at the E*mmaculate House of Fashion red-carpet event. Part DJ dance party, part fashion and art show, part VIP cocktail lounge, the event will feature fashions from Bella Luna boutique and Sophronia Design.
Where: Luna Bar and Grill, 49 Park St., Bangor
When: 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13
Web: check it out on Facebook

Craft with ME

Get Jazzy with ME
