Market Share

When you think of warm-weather destinations in Maine, chances are your mind turns to Bar Harbor, Camden or Kennebunkport.

Now, you can add Bangor to the mix. Always a summertime favorite (even if it's still technically spring),  the weekly farmers and artisans market starts tonight at 5. And this year, it will be held rain or shine, in a new location between Broad and Market Streets. At 7, Bruce Nye the Elvis Guy will take the page at Pickering Square for the first free Cool Sounds concert of the season.

Personally, we're more into the Maine-made jewelry, art, cheeses, clothing and other fun goodies than the concerts, but we're shoppers at heart.

So before you pack your bags and head to the coast for the weekend, be sure to make a pit stop in Bangor. You won't be disappointed. For more information or a full schedule, click here

I hope you will stop by the Dutch Hex Sign booth and say HI!

I'll be there with my hexen, as well as Stone Soup Collective produce and (later in the season) Olde Ways herb products. Tonight there will be lettuces and a salad blend with spinach, and farm fresh eggs.
