To-Do List

Have you been working for the weekend? It's finally here. And so is Maine Maven's inaugural to-do list, highlighting the best of ME for May 2 and 3. Enjoy!

Eat ME
If we could eat anywhere in Maine this weekend, we'd choose Francine Bistro in Camden, a tiny jewel of a restaurant where chef Brian Hill — amazing — changes the menu daily. Try the Steak Frites and anything involving fish.
When: call 207.230.0083 for reservations.

Drink ME
Days like these call for the white sangria at Local 188 in Portland (pictured).

Shop ME
Need a knockout Mother's Day gift? Try Ingrid's German Shop in Bangor, a treasure box of a boutique packed full with Venetian glass, delightful foods and a wonderful selection of imports you won't find anywhere else in Maine. On Saturdays, vendors peddle their wares at the indoor market at the adjoining Sunnyside Greenhouse.
When: Saturdays are best

you need to work on your links, dear. The last three do not take one to the proper page... though when I copied and pasted, I found the sites.

... maybe...

Does Ingrid REALLY have a site with just one page, no real content? If so, I need to visit her! < g >

Hi, Jj,
Problem solved — not sure how that happened! And yes, that is the site.
Thanks for letting me know about the bad links!

You ever go to Stella's in Castine? I'd say that is the best place to eat dinner in Maine. Ocean? Check. Live Jazz? Check. Awesome food (including potato chips super thin sliced off the deli)? Super check. Plus oriental rugs, great lighting and great people.

No, but one of my best friends lives in Castine, so I'll add Stella's to my list. Thanks!
